In 2019, I started my blog, Conversations with My Dad, later expanding my thoughts to Facebook. This platform was born from my deep belief that God desires authentic, intimate, and honest conversations with us. Jesus said, “I’ve come to show you the Father,” and I believe that includes showing us the freedom to approach God as Abba—with our questions, concerns, and even our doubts.
I see this reflected in the way I interact with my three-and-a-half-year-old grandson. He is naturally curious, always asking “why.” Why are we taking this road? Why can’t I have a toy today? Why don’t certain kids want to play? His questions aren’t about challenging my authority; they come from a desire to understand. And just as I don’t dismiss him with “because I said so,” I don't believe God dismisses us either. He welcomes our questions, offering wisdom, clarity, and direction.
This mindset shapes how I approach my relationship with God and how I discern His will for my life. Recently, this led me to start Wanda Pendergrass LLC, a business that aligns with my calling and passions. Through spiritual coaching, mentoring, speaking, and writing, I hope to help others grow in intimacy with God and learn to hear His voice and see him working in their lives.
Spiritual disciplines and practices play a significant role in my journey toward clarity, and I look forward to sharing more about those with you and others. Jesus came to reveal the heart of the Father—the gentle shepherd who loves, guides, and cares for us. As followers of Christ, we are on a journey to know Him more deeply. I hope to inspire and equip others to grow spiritually, deepen their relationship with Abba, and walk confidently in the paths He sets before them by using the gifts God has given me for His glory and the good of the world He loves so much.
Additionally, I am a student in the Spiritual Direction Program at Peacock Soul Care. My spirit, soul, and body are continually being stretched, enriched, and stimulated by the courses. Those of you who know me, know that I believe in the process of transformation and maturity; that we should not remain babes in Christ but should grow in wisdom, spiritual and moral stature, and favor with God and man. This program is like an anointing of fresh oil, arriving just at the right time. I am grateful.
I am writing my first book which will be a devotional. I plan to share it with the world in 2025.
